Josh Gladfelter, Product Development Engineer

Glad Designs is owned and operated by Josh Gladfelter. Josh earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University, and his knowledge of manufacturing, mechanical design, and Computer Aided Design stems from 10 years of experience in entrepreneurship, mechanical design, 3D printing, new product development, and robotic automation.

His background spans consumer products, industrial extraction equipment, and mobility accessories — meaning whatever you're building, he's probably solved an adjacent problem before.

How We Work

The principles behind every project

Honest scoping

If your idea is too early, we'll tell you. If it's ready, we'll quote it straight. No padded retainers, no surprise change orders.

Manufacturing-first design

Every part is modeled with the manufacturing process in mind. We don't draw things a shop can't build.

You own everything

STEPs, drawings, source files — you walk away with the deliverables. No vendor lock-in, no "trust us" handoffs.

Built to ship

Documents that survive contact with reality — drawings, BOMs, manuals — so your manufacturer, attorney, or customer can actually run with what we hand off.

Let's make your idea real.

Whether it's a single 3D-printed prototype or a full production-ready design package, the conversation starts the same way: tell us what you want to build.
